Harishchandra N. Naik
B.E., Chartered Engineer and Registered Valuer
Harishchandra N. Naik is a Chartered Engineer and Registered Valuer with extensive experience in civil engineering. After completing his college education, he served as a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department of a technical institute. He later took voluntary retirement to establish his own civil engineering and construction consultancy. He has contributed to several engineering and infrastructure projects, including the Asolli Pico Hydroelectric Power Project—the first project of its kind in Karnataka.
He is on the panel of approved valuers for 14 banks.
Harishchandra holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Karnataka University and a postgraduate degree in Valuation from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. He has participated in numerous national and international seminars and gained extensive practical experience in his field.
Alongside his professional career, he has been actively involved in social and community service. He has been associated with the Kumta unit of Lions Clubs International for 23 years, serving as President in 2007–08 and Lions District Treasurerr in 2020–21.
He was the founding President of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, Kumta. He is President of Akshaya Education Society, Alvekodi, and a trustee of Lions Charitable Eye Hospital, Kumta. His work spans education, healthcare and other social needs. He firmly believes that work is worship and that serving society is a way of serving God.
